A garden designer works like an architect, providing an inspired, artistic yet practical response to a space. FGD provides clients with all the design plans needed to employ their own building contractor, or to use one of our recommended contractor partners.
Be as involved as you want to be. Your garden design is in safe hands with FGD. You can leave us to create a stunning garden space based on your own general preferences or you can share with us your own vision. FGD director Antonia Couling is a fully qualified garden designer and certified horticulturist who prides herself on full engagement with the customer and empathy for their garden design needs, while providing expert advice to steer them towards optimum results, both practically and artistically.

Design consultations:
Two-hour consultation offering practical advice on your own garden design plans and/or ideas
Perhaps you have a vision in mind and want a professional eye cast over your ideas to see if they are practical, or perhaps you want an expert eye to help you decide on a look for your garden. FGD will spend time looking through your collected material and/or sketches and point you in the right direction.
Hour-long garden visit offering suggestions for the reworking /redesign of a garden space
If you don’t want to go down the full redesign route, an hour spent in the company of a qualified garden designer will provide you with practical guidance in how best to rework your garden space.
